[ He looked a little embarrassed being called out like that. It's not like he was trying to be mean! ]

[ At least, he's pretty sure he knows what was going through Reo's mind. ]

You don't have to sleep so far, though. Not unless you want to.

I just... wanted to give you some space if you wanted space... but sleeping so far is kind of a pain.

[heartgear]

Right? So just sleep closer.

[ He nods firmly, deciding that if Reo won't do it, he'll do it himself. Although he's pretty sure Reo will probably do it anyway at this point. ]

At least as close as you can without overheating....

That's probably going to happen regardless. This place must be having its own version of summer or something because it's so hot here...

I heard people talk about it being Tessa, which is supposed to correlate with July. I... think. So you're probably right. We'll have to find a way to keep you cool.

[ Mabu turns his head to look at Reo a little better. ]

Maybe we can buy an inflatable pool.

[ He laughs loudly at the mere thought. Of course that would be a ridiculous idea. How would that keep him cool all day? He'd get prune-y eventually. ]

...Maybe we should start with a fan?

[gunlabels]

I wonder if this place has fans... that is a good place to look though!

[ He shifts a little and moves over Mabu to start working down to his lower back, the little hum in his voice still. ]

[ Mabu smiles faintly, folding his arms so he can rest his cheek on them. ]

If we can't find one, I could make a paper fan....

I guess I'll just have to live at the lake at this rate.

[ He was joking obviously. There's no way he would want to live out there, not without Mabu anyway. And he didn't want Mabu to live out there so it was obviously a no go. ]

We'll think of something. Don't worry, Reo.

I'm fine right now at least... so no need to worry.

Do you think it will get hotter as the days go by?

[ He's gonna worry. ]

[gunlabels]

[ Well stop it. He presses against Mabu's back a little more, making sure to get every inch of him. ]

Mmm, maybe. But I'm not too worried about that.

[heartgear]

[ Ah, Reo's doing such a good job spoiling him. ]

That's fair. We're resourceful, after all, so we'll figure out how to cope.

[ While not the same as Reo touching his mechanical heart, this is a nice second -- Reo touching him and not being disgusted by him. ]

By the way... have you thought about what you want to do here...?

Well.. kind of. I'm not sure if we could really get a job doing what we used to here. From the looks of it they have their own little police force set up.

[heartgear]

Maybe you could find some children and babysit them. Or be a cat sitter.

You think this place has cats?

[ He perks up at the suggestion! Let him sit all the cats please!!! ]

Of course.

[ He can't imagine a world without a lot of cats, so obviously this place must have a lot of cats, too. ]

Hmm... but I don't know if the cats would enjoy it quite as much as I do.

[ Mabu nods knowingly. ]

Probably, but if it's what you really want to do....

I'm sure something will pop out at me...! And you... what about you? Had anything caught your eye yet?

[ Mabu glances up at Reo.

[ Reo stops his movements for a moment to stare back down at him with a curious look. ]
